Safe blood Organisation came to life in April, 1998. It has been registered with the Registrar of Society, New Delhi in 1998, The Ministry of Home Affairs and Foreign Contribution and Regulation Act(FCRA) and with the Income Tax Authority of India,Income Tax Act 1961. Initially, our organisation mainly focussed on creating a databank of voluntary blood donors who would be willing to donate blood and in turn help saving lives of those in need of it. It was one of the pioneers in creating the electronic repository of blood donors rather than maintaining the stored units of blood. The databank of committed blood donors shows our way of caring not only for the people who need blood but also for those who donate it. Every drop of blood that YOU would donate will help us save a life and this satisfaction,we assure, will remain with you for life... 

Along with being a Blood Donation Bank, the organisation has branched out into serving one of the biggest menaces of our country...Female Education. Even today in the socio economicaly backward areas of our country, the reviews about educating a girl child remain ancient. Statements like 'What will she do with all this education?" or "Educating our son is more important,atleast he will earn a living for us when we grow old." still exist. Why this discrimination?? This is the question which stirred our conscience and marked the origin of our Project STROT, where we focused all our energies towards helping out those girls who wanted to utilize their right to education.

We have alliances with 2 colleges in Delhi - The Apollo School of Nursing,The Kailash Institute of Nursing, The Dolphin School of Paramedical Sciences(Dehradun) and The Matha College of Nursing(Chennai) where we get these girls admitted for this 4 years diploma/degree course in nursing,after which they get placed in various good hospitals. Our contribution, monetarily, might be meager… We don’t think funding their tuition fee, living expenses etc. is what’s only important… What is more important is the confidence, the satisfaction, the joy and happiness and the new vision for life and living that this small help brings in the lives of these girls…
